Schoolleaversprefertotravelorworkratherthandirectlygoingtouniversity.Aretheremoreadvantagesordisadvantagesontheirstudy?
写作思路：
gapyear是雅思写作一个老题，本题问的是这个选择的优劣势。
优点可以从历练积累、视野开阔、变得独立这三个点进行递进称述；
缺点可以考虑间隔年后不再返校进行论述，但是因为社会对于个人资质要求越来越高，这种情况不太会发生。
除了例文中写的优缺点，职业规划的思考、安全问题也是比较好写的点。
Itisquitecommonthesedaysforyoungpeopleinmanycountriestohaveabreakfromstudyingaftergraduatingfromhighschool.Thistrendisnotrestrictedtorichstudentswhohavethemoneytotravel,butisalsoevidentamongpoorerstudentswhochoosetoworkandbecomeeconomicallyindependentforaperiodoftime.

However,therearecertainlydangersintakingtimeoffatthatimportantage.Youngadultsmayendupneverreturningtotheirstudiesorfindingitdifficulttoreadapttoanacademicenvironment.Theymaythinkthatitisbettertocontinueinaparticularjob,ortodosomethingcompletelydifferentfromauniversitycourse.Butoverall,Ithinkthisislesslikelytoday,whenacademicqualificationsareessentialforgettingareasonablecareer.
Myviewisthatyoungpeopleshouldbeencouragedtobroadentheirhorizons.Thatisthebestwayforthemtogetaclearperspectiveofwhattheyarehopingtodowiththeirlivesandwhy.Studentswithsuchaperspectiveareusuallythemosteffectiveandmotivatedonesandtakingayearoffmaybethebestwaytogainthis.
