1.SCOPE
Scopeofthisdocumentistoillustratethestep-by-stepdisassemblyprocessofABBSACETmaxXTXT1
mouldedcasecircuitbreaker.
DocumentisfocusedonTmaxXTXT13pIECversion,anywayitallowstocoverotherversionsofTmax
XTXT1circuitbreakerwithjustfewslightdifferencestobetakenintoaccount.
2.SAFETYNOTES
Beforeproceedingwithanydisassemblyoperation,it’smandatorytoputthecircuitbreakerinopen
position.
Disassemblyoperationsofcircuitbreakersmustbeperformedbyqualifiedandskilledpersonnelin
theelectricalfield(IEV195-04-01:personwithrelevanteducationandexperiencetoenablehimorher
toperceiverisksandtoavoidhazardswhichelectricitycancreate)andhavingadetailedknowledgeof
circuitbreakers.
Disassemblyactivitesmustbeperformedinanergonomicworkspaceabletoensureprotectionofper-
sonsdemandedtoperformdisassemblyactivities.
Applicablenationallegislationandinternationalstandardsinforceatthetimeofdisassemblyofcircuit
breakersmustbetakenintoaccountinadditiontoprescriptionsillustratedinthisdocument.
ABBdeclinesanyresponsibilityforinjurytopeopleordamagetopropertyresultingfromafailureto
complywiththeinstructionssetoutinthisdocumentandwithanyapplicablesafetystandard.

Disassemblyoperationsrequiretheuseoftools(e.g.screwdriver,torxkey,pliers,…);toolstobeused
arespecifiedinsideeachphaseofthedisassemblyprocess(seeChapter6).
