1.Plugoneendofthecableintothemodularjackonthe

masterunitmarkedwith“v”andtheotherendintothe

receivingmodularjackoneitherthemasterunitorthe

remoteterminator(forF4F314-Tonly).

2.Assoonaspoweristurnedon,selectthescanningmode

toeither“AUTO”or“MANUAL”.Todothe“AUTO”test,

justpressdownthescanningmodebuttonto“AUTO”

andtheLEDdisplaywilllightupinsequenceforeach

conductorandshowthepin-configurationofthecable.

Totestthecablemanually,justleavethescanningmode

buttonupon“MANUAL”mode,andpressthe“TEST”

buttontoseethecontinuityandpin-outofoneparticular

wireinthecables.Refertosection“D”and“E”for

furtherinformation.

3.Forshieldedcablesthe9thLEDmarkedwith“G”

indicatesthegrounding/shieldingofthecable.Ifthe

cableisproperlygrounded/shielded,the“G”LEDson

bothlinesshouldlightup,otherwisethecableisnot

grounded/shielded.

B.ToTestCoaxCable(BNC)

1.PlugbothendsofthecableintothefemaleBNC

connectorsonthetwoRJ45/BNCadaptercables,thus

changingthecoaxcabletoaRJ45/RJ45cable.Plugone

endofthecablewiththeRJ45connectorintothe

modularjackonthemasterunitmarkedwith“v”and

theotherendtothereceivingmodularjackeitheron

themasterunitortheremoteterminator(for

F4F314-Tonly).

2.Assoonasthepoweristurnedon,selectthescanning

modeto“MANUAL”andthenpressthe“TEST”button
