Everyoneneedstocommunicatewithothersinhislife.Studentsandprofessors,parentsandchildren,employersandemployees,friends,strangers,andenemiesallcommunicate.Wehavebeencommunicatingwithothersfromthefirstweeksoflifeandwillkeepondoingsountilwedie.
Today,I’lltalkaboutsomethingaboutcommunication.
Maybeweallknowwhatcommunicationis,butnext,I’lltellyoumyunderstandingofcommunication.
Inmyopinion,Communicationistheactivityofconveyinginformation.IlookedupthewordinanEnglishdictionary,IfoundthatcommunicationhasbeenderivedfromtheLatinwordcommunis,meaningtoshare.Communicationrequiresasender,amessage,andanintendedrecipient,althoughthereceiverneednotbepresentorawareofthesendersintenttocommunicateatthetimeofcommunication;thuscommunicationcanoccuracrossvastdistancesintimeandspace.Communicationrequiresthatthecommunicatingpartiesshareanareaofcommunicativecommonality.Thecommunicationprocessiscompleteoncethereceiverhasunderstoodthemessageofthesender.Feedbackiscriticaltoeffectivecommunicationbetweenparties.
