BlackFridayhasbecomesomewhatofamarketingsensationinrecentyears.Since2005，ithasbeenthebusiestshoppingdayoftheyear.Tolureshoppers，retailers(零售商)routinelyopentheirdoorsasearlyas4a.m.andofferspecialsalesandpromotionstotheshoppersthatarriveearly.Someofthespecialdealsofferedbystoresareonlyavailableinlimitedquantities.Thatiswhysomeshoppersintentongettingthebestdealsoftencampoutinfrontofstoresovernightsothatthey’llbethefirstinlinewhenthedoorsopen.

ButwhyBlackFriday?HistoriansbelievethenamestartedinPhiladelphiainthemid-1960s.Busdriversandpoliceused“BlackFriday”todescribetheheavytrafficthatwouldblockcitystreetsthedayafterThanksgivingasshoppersheadedtothestores.

Businesses，however，didn’tlikethenegativetoneassociatedwiththe“Black
