TheUniversityofColoradoPresident’sTeachingandLearningCollaborative(PTLC)
participatesintheSystem-wideCollaborationclusteroftheCarnegieAcademyforthe
ScholarshipofTeachingandLearning(CASTL).Accordingly,weintroducethisreportonthe
secondhalfofourfirstyearofoperationwithadiscussionofwhatwehavelearnedabout
collaborationacrossourthreecampuses.
Context
TheUniversityofColoradohasthreeuniversities,theUniversityofColoradoatBoulder,
theUniversityofColoradoatColoradoSprings,andtheUniversityofColoradoatDenverand
HealthSciencesCenter.Thelatterwasformedrecentlybymergingpreviouslyaseparatecampus
indowntownDenverwiththeHealthSciencescenter.PTLCisasystem-wideprogramfostered
bythePresident’sTeachingScholarsProgramwhichisasystem-wideprogramreportingtothe
SystemVicePresidentforAcademicAffairsandResearch.TheSteeringCommitteeforPTLC
includesfacultyfromallthreeuniversities.Fundingfortheprogramcomesinpartfromthe
systempresident’sofficeandinpartfromchancellorsofthethreeuniversities.
