英汉散文中语法隐喻之对比分析——以张培基《英译我国现代散文选》为例

摘要：本文以韩礼德的语法隐喻理论为框架，对张培基《英译我国现代散文选》中文原文和英译文中出现的语法隐喻进行了对比分析，旨在探讨语法隐喻在中文原文和英译文中的使用情况和使用效果。通过量化统计和实例分析，研究发现：语法隐喻在翻译过程中起着重要作用，具体隐喻结构需要适时调整；隐喻的翻译需要兼顾散文行文特点和具体语境。上述结论说明：语言学理论对散文翻译具有积极作用，能为散文翻译研究提供一定帮助。

1.Introduction

Chinaisacountrywithaprofoundtraditionofprosewriting.Today,undertheurgentneedtospreadtheChinesecultureandpresentagoodChinesestorytotheworld,howtoconveytheuniquecharmofChinesecultureintheEnglishtranslatedproseshasbeenaheatedtopic.

Therehavebeenmanyscholarswhohavestudiedtheessaysfromtheapproachesofstyle,strategy,culturalconceptandsoon.However,therearen’tmanyscholarswhouselinguistictheoriestoanalyzelanguages.Atthesametime,metaphorisanimportantlinguisticphenomenonandithasbeenpaidmuchattentiontobyscholars.In1985,HallidayfirstproposedthetheoryofgrammaticalmetaphorinhisbookAnIntroductiontoFunctionalGrammar.Accordingtothemetafunctionsoflanguage,hedividedthephenomenonofgrammaticalmetaphorinto2types:ideationalgrammaticalmetaphorandinterpersonalgrammaticalmetaphor.Scholarsathomeandabroadhavecoveredmanyfieldsoftheirresearchesonthistheory.However,mostofthesubjectsoftheirstudyarescientifictextsandnewstexts.Thoughsomeresearchersalsouseliterarytextsastheirobjectsofstudy,mostofthematerialsarelimitedtopoetriesandnovels.Thenumberofstudiesofgrammaticalmetaphorinessaysisstillfarfromenough.

Basedonthecircumstances,thispapermainlyusesHallidaysgrammaticalmetaphortheoryastheframeworktocomparethegrammaticalmetaphorscontainedinZhangPeijisbookSelectedModernChineseEssays(II).It’shopedthattheresearchisconducivetoessaytranslation.
