Er:YAGlaseronlyininitiallydeepperiodontalsites,

comparedwithconventionalultrasonicdebridement

Patients

lusioncriteria:

•diagnosisofearly-to-moderateCPbasedonthepresence

of:≥4teethperquadrantwithPD≥4.5mm;30%to50%

radiographicbonelossin30%ofteeth

•nosystemicdiseasesrequiringantibioticprophylaxisor

othersystemicmedication

•noperiodontaltreatmentwithinthelast12monthsor

systemicantibioticintakeinthelast3months.
