JourneyofPilgrimsThelegendarypilgrims,crossedtheAtlanticintheyear1620inMayflower-A17thCenturysailingvessel.About102peopletraveledfornearlytwomonthswithextremedifficulty.

ArrivalinPlymouthThepilgrimsreachedPlymouthrockonDecember11th1620,afteraseajourneyof66days.ThoughtheoriginaldestinationwassomewhereinthenorthernpartofVirginia,theycouldnotreachtheplaceowingtowindsblowingthemoffcourse.Nearly46pilgrimsdiedduetoextremecoldinwinter.However,inthespringof1621,Squanto,anativeIndiantaughtthepilgrimstosurvivebygrowingfood.

FirstThanksgivingFeastItissaidthatPilgrimslearnttogrowcorn,beansandpumpkinsfromtheIndians,whichhelpedallofthemsurvive.Intheautumnof1621,theyheldagrandcelebrationwhere90peoplewere
