Model Design of the `3+5 Urban Agglomeration

Abstract:The Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan U rban Agglomeration area is approved to be the Na-
tional Resource-saving and Environmental-friendly Society -building Integrated Reform Experimental
Area.The development of the Hunan Urban Agglomeration is facing new opportunities and challenges.
Changing the development model, taking a new road to industrialization, and promoting industrial restruc-
turing are strategic tasks w hich Hunan is facing .This paper introduced the Core and Periphery Theory;
analyzed the present situation of the development of the Hunan Urban Agglomeration, the opportunities
and challenges that the Tw o-oriented Society brings to the Urban Agglomeration, and the circle develop-
ment model design of the `3+ Urban A gglomeration.
