《This is my sister》教学设计 Teaching Contents: Introduce family members. Teaching Objectives: Knowledge objective Students will master some expressions about family members and know how to introduce them to others. Ability objective Students will learn how to ask a person and how to introduce a person after this class. Emotional objective Students will love their families more. Students will be interested in using English. Teaching Key and Difficult Points: Teaching key points Students can master the methods and sentences of introducing someone. Teaching difficult points How to help students grasp the words and use the similar expression to describe others. Major steps: Step1 Lead-in (8 minutes) Ask students to give an introduction of themselves using“I’m...My first name’s...My last name’s...and my telephone number’s...xx is my friend,and her phone number’s... Use pictures on ppt to show them a famliy members of Xia Yu’s. (justification:this step can make students have an understanding of family and the combination of a family.) Step2 Pre-listening(8 minutes) Ask students to read the words on page7,and finish the blanks according to the picture. (justification:this step can help students be familiar with the situation about David’s family.) Check the answers together and stress some difficult words. (justification:these words(parent、grandparent、parents、grandparents are different in single and complex form.) Step3 while-listening(12 minutes) Ask students to listen to the tape to finish 1b and circle the words they hear. (justifications:this step helps in training students’ listening.) Teach students to read the conversations with careful explantion and check the new words. Then talk about the phrases(imagine you’re David): That is my family. = 1 \* GB3 ①That is ... This is my sister. = 2 \* GB3 ②That is... Who’s she? She’s my mother. = 3 \* GB3 ③Who is... Who’s he? He’s my grandfather.(with white hair and a pair of glasses.) Who’re they?
