Numerical Simulation of Flow Field in Six-strand Continuous Casting Tundish Abstract The existing tool software ANSYS is used to simulate the process of molten steel entering the six-flow tundish. Through watching a large number of ANSYS teaching videos to explain in the early stage, the ANSYS software is gradually used, and the flow field, pressure field and temperature field of each section in the six-flow tundish can be obtained by using the given model for flow simulation. Due to time constraints, the understanding and use of ANSYS software is only a little knowledge, but it is a wonderful learning experience process for me. ANSYS has many functions to learn and use. The refractory container used in short-flow steelmaking is called a six-flow tundish, which receives the molten steel flowing from the ladle and distributes it to each six-flow crystallizer through the six water outlets of the six-flow tundish. The invention of tundish plays an important role in the iron and steel industry, so it is necessary to know its principle, model and internal data. We have obtained the temperature field, pressure field and flow field of each section of the six-flow tundish under the condition of steel flow through by ANSYS finite element analysis software simulation.
