Personal writing empowers students and develops their critical reflectivity. Teachers can reevaluate power relations through students writing. Personal writing in teachers education establishes mentoring relationships. Mentoring empowers students to develop their own problem-solving skills. a r t i c l e i n f o a b s t r a c t Article history: The article demonstrates the utilities of personal writing by analysing a fantasy written by adolescent in Received 17 September 2018 the context of an extracurricular writing workshop.
