Module4 Unit 2 We have played football for a year now. Ⅰ Teaching goals 1. Knowledge goals Key vocabulary well, heart, active, pet, member, take part (in sth.), then, daily, weak Key structures I have had him for three month now and I feel really healthy. Since then, it has become part of my life. 2. Ability goals To be able to understand passages about health routines To write about healthy living with the hints provided by pictures Ⅱ Important and difficult points ● How to help the students understand the text and train the reading ability. Ⅲ Teaching methods and teaching aids ●Teaching methods To achieve teaching aims,finding out the topic sentence,skimming, scanning, pair work and group work will be adopted. ●Teaching aids I’ll apply the multi-media, a courseware and some small objects to make the input visible, interesting,comprehensible and to make the students interested in the class. Ⅳ Teaching procedures Step 1 Pre-reading 1. Lead into the new lesson from daily greetings, like Good morning. 2. Use some expressions to teach some of the new words. Step 2 While-reading 1. Fast-reading Task 1 Scan the passage and answer the question. Task 2 Read the passage again and find the topic sentence (主题句) in each paragraph. 2. Careful-reading Task 1 Read Paragraphs 1 2 and tell True or False ( T or F ) . Task 2 Read Paragraph 3 and fill in the blanks. Task 3 Read Paragraph 4 and find such an example from the passage. Step 3 Post-reading Read the whole passage loudly, and underline the important points. Step 4 Groupwork Work in groups and talk about the impolite behavior around us. Step 5 Write As teenagers, we should keep healthy .What good behavior do you want to have ? Write down the good habits you have at home or at school.
