Analysis of the teaching material: The article is about sports life. The student will learn to talk about sports, including describing sports, sportsperson and sports spirit.
Analysis of the students :In listening and speaking lessons, the students are usually guided to memorize the words and talk about the main idea of the article. But the students are too shy to speak English loudly and some of them think it’s too boring and difficult to memorize the new words if the teacher uses a traditional teaching style. So in this lesson, the teacher is trying to conduct the lesson in a different way. The modern technology is used to combine with the traditional teaching style.
Teaching objectives
◇Knowledge objective
1. Vocabulary:
Stand for ,point, decision, excuse, noon, seat, no way ,mad, sportsperson, sportsman, sportswoman, play against, train hard
2. Structures:
(1) The passive voice: Daming wasn’t chosen for the team last time.
(2) What does HAS stand for?.
(3)I do hope they win this game.
◇Ability objective
1. To be able to talk about sports life.
2. To be able to master the new words and sentences.
◇Emotion objective
To know about different kinds of sports and get to learn the spirit of sports, then form a habit of doing sports and enjoy the sports.

Difficult points: To master the past passive structure “be(was/were) +done”
