Ⅰ. Background information:
In England, people often talk about the weather because they can experience four seasons in one day. In the morning the weather is warm just like in spring. An hour later black clouds come and then it rains hard. The weather gets a little cold. In the late afternoon the sky will be sunny, the sun will begin to shine, and it will be summer at this time of a day.
Ⅱ.Teaching objectives
Knowledge objective:
1. Students can listen, say, read or write the words (sunny, windy, cloudy, snowy and rainy)
2. Student can use the sentence pattern. (Is it sunny? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t, etc.)
3. Student can understand or read the information about postcard.
Ability objective:
Student can write a postcard to their good friends or parents.
Moral objective:
To teach the students learn to share the happiness to their friends or parents in daily life.
Ⅲ.Teaching points:
Key points:
1、Students can use the sentence pattern.(Is it sunny? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.)
2、Students can listen, say, or read the postcard; can understand the postcard and write a postcard to their friends or parents.
Difficult points:
To understand the writing about letter.

Step1 Lead-in
1.1 Greet to students.
1.2 Chant with the tape.《How’s the weather》
(All the students look at the screen.)
1.3 Read the words quickly.
(Windy rainy sunny snowy cloudy)
When is cloudy, ask the question.
T: What’s the weather like now?
S: It’s cloudy.
Step2 Presentation
2.1 T: When is sunny, ask the question.
T: What’s the weather like now?
S: It’s sunny. (Show the picture one by one.)
……
2.2 Make a chant.
Student will chant after the teacher.
2.3 Ask and write.
Show the pictures. Try to practice the sentences.
Is it sunny? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’
