University of Nanking, Cornell University and International Education Board established a five-year joint crop plant improvement project, wh ich was also called Cornell-Nanking Story. This project had not only cultivated high-yield crop varieties, such as wheat, soybean, rice, cotton, barley, etc, but also trained a group of professional crop breeders who could continue their work after they finished the project.
