China has adjusted the policies to give priority to the development of nuclear power in an active manner. In order to make sure that nuclear power will have a long term and stable development, it is significantly important to maintain a sufficient supplement for the uranium fuel. This article mainly introduces the status of resources and production which is related to uranium fuel in the world excluding nuclear power plants. It contains the status of exploration and production among China and the whole world, the fluctuation of uranium spot price and long-term price, and the comparison of the world’s various enrichment technologies. With the development of nuclear power, a lot of spent fuel will wait for disposal. In that case, reprocessing will attract more and more attentions. This article concludes the status on spent fuel reprocessing and the analysis of the reprocessing advantages.
