Conversely, the graph also presents that the proportion of study stemming from interest increases with age growing. Only 10% of under 26 year olds study out of interest. The percentage rises slowly until the beginning of the fourth decade, and ascends dramatically in late adulthood. Besides, it is worth mentioning that the proportions among 40-49 year olds are the same for both career and interest. The second column chart demonstrates that employer support is maximum (approximately 60%) for the under 26 year olds. It falls rapidly to 32% at the third decade of life, and then goes up in late adulthood to about 44%. The column graph demonstrates changes in average price of real estate in five major cities worldwide during 1990 and 2002, compared with the data in 1989. Overall, during 1990 and 1995, average price of real estate increased in two cities. However, in the latter period, the number of cities with higher house price doubled. As we can see, between 1990 and 1995, the average house price fell slightly in three cities, by 5% in New York, and 7.5% in Tokyo and London respectively. While other two cities experienced rise in average house price, with the proportion 1.5% in Madrid and 2% in Frankfurt. The next period (1996-2002) witnessed the growth in four cities and the decline in the other. The price went up in London, New York, Madrid and Frankfurt in descending order, with the specific proportions 11%, 5%, 4% and 2% respectively.
