But the current framework has a lot of limits to effectively respond to the trends in the development of the telecom market where integration of disparate networks are happening and competition among services are increasing. On the contrary, vertical regulatory structure can limit competition among services, and regulations on service rates and bundling can discourage the development of innovative services. I will first briefly describe the current status of Koreas telecom market, Secondly, necessities to reform telecommunication regulatory framework, and then, I will explain roadmap for telecom regulation currently pushed by the Ministry and finally, expected effects and schedule will be followed.
