摘 要 WiMax(Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access),即全球微波互联接入。WiMAX的另一个名字是802.16。WiMAX是一项新兴的宽带无线接入技术，能提供面向互联网的高速连接，数据传输距离最远可达50km。WiMAX还具有QoS保障、传输速率高、业务丰富多样等优点。WiMAX的技术起点较高，采用了代表未来通信技术发展方向的OFDM/OFDMA、AAS、MIMO等先进技术，随着技术标准的发展，WiMAX逐步实现宽带业务的移动化，而3G则实现移动业务的宽带化，两种网络的融合程度会越来越高。基于802.16e 的全线WiMAX 产品都已推出，包括射频、基站、室内接入设备等，WiMAX 的商业模式也在逐步成熟中。但是，截至目前，还没有运营商部署移动WiMAX 系统。而IEEE 今年启动对802.16m 标准的研制，不仅可在“漫游”模式或高效率/强信号模式下，将设备的下行传输速度提高到1Gb/s，在“高移动”模式下传输速度达到100Mb/s，而且与WiMAX 兼容，还将与基于OFDM/OFDMA 的4G 标准网络兼容。 关键字：WiMax; OFDM/OFDMA;4G；两网融合； Abstract WiMax (Interoperability of Microwave for Access), namely global Microwave Internet Access. And this year to 802.16 m start IEEE standard research, not only can be in roaming mode or high efficiency/strong signal mode, will the downlink transmission equipment speed up to 1 Gb/s, in high mobile mode transmission speed to 100 Mb/s, and with WiMAX compatible, and based on the OFDM/OFDMA 4 G network compatibility of the standard.
