It’s not my shirt. 当一个句子中有称呼语时,中文和英文的习惯很不同。中文是先称呼再讲内容;而英文是先讲内容,把称呼语放在句子的末尾。而且,不管是什么句子,结尾的称呼语一般都读升调。 Is your mother-in-law a teacher, Lucy? 回忆:物主代词 形物:my our your your his her its their 名物:mine ours yours yours his hers his theirs Dave: This is my shirt. My shirt’s blue. Teacher: Is this shirt Tim’s? Dave: Perhaps it is, sir . Tim’s shirt’s white. 本句中有两个“s”,他们的语法功能和所表达的意思各不相同: Tim’s 中的’s是名词所有格,“的” shirt’s中的’s是is的缩略式,“是” Teacher: Is this your shirt? Dave: Yes, sir. Teacher: Tim ! Tim: Yes, sir? Yes, sir?和Yes, sir. 看似一样,但实际上却非常不同,一个是“升调”,表示“什么事?怎么啦?”另一个是“降调”,是对提问的肯定回答。 Teacher: Here you are. Catch! Tim: Thank you, sir. 常用口语,“给你”“你所要的东西在这儿”。 are 要重读。 但在不同的场合,它可以有不同的理解: 如果你认领东西,对方递给你时说,意为“给你”。 ---- Excuse me.
