AbstractPoly(p-phenyleneterephthalamide),alsoknownaspara-aramid(PPTA),hasexcellentproperties,likeaslowdensity,highstrength,highmodulus,corrosionresistance,wearresistance,goodthermalstabilityandlowconductivitywhichiswidelyappliedtomilitary,commercial,agricultureandotherfields.However,itisdifficulttoflowforPPTAeveninhightemperatureorincommonsolutionduetorigidphenylene,amideunitsinthepolymerchain,andinterchainhydrogenbonds,thushinderthefurtherapplication.Throughmimickingtheciliastructureofparamecium,wepreparedaliquid-likepoly(p-phenyleneterephthalamide)fullofcilia-likelong-chaintertiaryamine,whichhasimportantsignificanceinsolubilityandprocessability.Theas-preparedsulfonatedPPTA(S-PPTA)waspolymerizedby2,5-diaminobenzenesulfonicacidand1,4-benzenedicarbonyldichloride.TheoptimalreactionconditiontogethighmolecularweightofS-PPTAisundertheN2atmosphere,0°CandLiClascosolvent.Thentheself-flowingPPTA(sf-PPTA)canbepreparedusingalongchaintertiaryanminetoreactwithsulfonategroupofS-PPTA.Byturningthegraftingratioofsf-PPTA,wedetailedinvestigatedcondensedstatestructures,rheologyproperties,liquidcrystalbehaviorandsolubility,proovingthatthefibrilsofsf-PPTAcouldplaytheroleofnanoscalebuildingunitsandsuccessfullyobservingthecore-shellstructureofpolymermatrixnanoscaleionicmaterials.Thenwefurtherexploredtherelationshipofcondensedstatestructuresandrheologybehaviorandfoundthatthemodulusandviscosityofsf-PPTAcouldbecontrolledintheorderofthemagnitudebytuningitsciliadensity.Withthegraftingdensityincreases,theliquidcrystalbehaviorgraduallyvanishes.Throughaddingthesf-PPTAintopolyvinylidenefluoride(PVDF),wesuccessfullypreparedanovelPVDF/sf-PPTAcompositefilmandexplorethedielectricpropertiesandferroelectrichysteresisloopstocalculatetheenergydensityofcompositefilms.Theresultshowsthattheadditionofsf-PPTAisbeneficialtoinduceβphaseofPVDFcompositefilms.Whentheadditionamountofsf-PPTAisII1%,thePVDFcompositefilmshowsthehighdielectricconstantof17andlowdielectriclossof0.05inthefrequencyof100Hz.Thecalculatedenergyd
