ThepreparationofnovelsurfactantandstudyofapplicationperformanceasascouringagentAbstractThepreparationofnovelsurfactantandstudyofapplicationperformanceasascouringagentAbstractSurfactantiseasytogatherintheinterfaceduetoitsamphiphilicstructurewhichgreatlyreducesthesurfacetensionofthesolvent;therefore,itiswidelyusedinlightindustry,textile,dailychemicalandpetroleumindustries.80%ofthetextiledyeingandprintingauxiliariescontainsurfactants,inordertoadapttotherequirementsofcleanerproductionandenvironmentprotectionintextiledyeingandprinting.Developmentandapplicationofecological,efficientsurfactantintextileprocessingbecomesthehottopicofecologicaltextilechemicaldevelopment.AnovelanionicGeminisurfactant—N,N′-doublepalmacylethidenediaminesodiumpropionatewassynthesizedbyaddition,amidecondensationandsaponificationusingethylenediamine,methylacrylateandpalmitoylchlorideasmainrawmaterials.Infraredspectrumandnuclearmagneticresonance(NMR)spectrawereusedtocharacterizeitsstructure.Aseriesofperformancesuchasthesurfacetension,alkaliresistanceandoxidationresistance,hardwaterresistance,emulsifyingproperty,netwashingandfoamingpropertiesoftheGeminisurfactantweretested.Theexperimentalresultsshowthat:theGeminisurfactanthasalowsurfacetension(γcmc=39.5mN/m、cmc=1.6×10-4mol/L),agoodresistancetoalkaliandhydrogenperoxide,apoorresistancetohardwater,agoodemulsification,agoodfoamingpoweranditsnetwashingeffectequalstosoap.Achelatingsurfactant—N-hexadecylED3Awassynthesizedintwostepsusingethylenediamine,bromohexadecaneandmonochloroaceticacidasrawmaterials.Infraredspectrumandnuclearmagneticresonance(NMR)spectrawereusedtocharacterizeitsstructure.Aseriesofperformancesuchasthesurfacetension,hardwaterresistance,chelatingability,emulsifyingproperty,netwashingandfoamingpropertiesofthechelatingsurfactantweretested.Theexperimentalresultsshowthat:thechelatingsurfactanthasahighsurfacetension(γcmc=38.7mN/m,cmc=2.0×10-4mol/L),averygoodresistancetohardwater,astrongchelatingability(theCVvaluecanbeupto290mgCaCO3/g),agoodemul
