Based on the information entropy theory ,set Wu ’an City of Hebei Province as an example ,this paper studied the dynamic changes from 1996 to 2006 as well as the spatial diversity of all villages and towns in 2006 in the information entropy of land - use structure in Wu ’an ,and used the principal component analysis to study qualitatively the driving forces of changes in information entropy. The results showed that the information entropy was in a state of sustained growth ,and the equilibrium degree of land - use structure was relatively high in Wu ’an .
