It is now commonly known as the Peking Man, estimated to have lived from 300,000 to 780,000 years ago. The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors (三皇五帝) were mythological rulers of China during the period from around 2852 BC to 2205 BC, before the Xia Dynasty. The Three Sovereigns were said to have introduced important aspects of Chinese culture, such as agriculture, fishing, herbal medicine, writing, and the drinking of tea, and in some cases created men and animals.
