第二届交通科学与计算专题研讨会报告摘要 1 大会特邀报告: Numerical Methods for Traffic Flow Models Chi-Wang Shu Division of Applied Mathematics Brown University Traffic flow models, including vehicle flow models and pedestrian flow models, often involve complicated, coupled systems of hyperbolic partial differential equations, including hyperbolic conservation laws and Hamilton-Jacobi equations. In this talk we discuss several issues encountered in numerical simulations of these traffic flow models. Topics to be covered include: (1) Conservation laws involving discontinuous fluxes; (2) Lax-Wendroff type boundary treatment for fast sweeping method solving static Hamilton-Jacobi equations using high order WENO schemes; (3) Numerical solutions coupled systems of forward-in-time conservation laws and backward-in-time Hamilton-Jacobi equations.
