Noun Clause subject clause 主语从句（the Subject Clause ） 定义： 用作主语的从句叫主语从句，它是名词性从句之一。引导主语从句的连接词有：连词that, whether；连接代词who, what和which；连接副词when, where, how和why。 用法： 1) 由连词that引起的主语从句： 老师愿意帮助学生学习更多，这是十分自然的。 That the teacher offer to help students to learn more is quite natural. 主语从句不难学习是显而易见的。 That the subject clause is not difficult to learn is very obvious. 但是这类句子在大多数情况下会放到整个句子的后部去，而用代词it作形式主语。 2) 由连接词whether引起的主语从句： Whether Tom will sell the house is not yet decided. 他们是否能去野餐取决于天气情况。 Whether they can go to have a picnic depends on the weather. Whether he will be chosen as monitor next time is in doubt. 3) 由what, which, who等连接代词引起的主语从句： What he has done is a good example. 老师今天说的话是十分正确的。 What the teacher said today was quite right.? Who will go there remains a question. Which color she will choose is not known yet. 4)由连接副词when, where, how和why引起的主语从句 Why he came late to class this morning was not clear. 我们什么时间开会还没决定下来。 When we shall have the meeting hasn’t been decided yet. How they went through all the difficulties is still a mystery today. Where she will go travelling hasn’t been decided at last. 5) whatever, whoever, whichever引导主语从句: Whatever has been said here must be kept secret. 凡是在这里说的话都得保守秘密。 cf. What has been said here should be kept secret. 不管是谁，只要犯错就得改正。 Whoever makes mistakes must correct them. Who makes mistakes must correct them. (x) Whichever color he will choose is his own decision. Which color he will choose is his own decision. (x) 主语从句注意事项 名词性从句用陈述句语序，中间一般不用逗号与主句隔开 注意下面一些常用重点句型: 1. It be + adj. / n. +从句 　 It is a pity/shame/ that... 遗憾的是… 　 It is possible that... 很可能… 　 It is (un)likely that... (不)可能… It is (un)fortunate that… (不)幸运的是 It is clear/ obvious/evident that… 显而易见的是 2. It +Vi.+从句 　 It seems/appears that... 似乎… 　 It happens that... 碰巧… It doesn’t matter that… …是无关紧要的 It matters a lot
