Good afternoon, my teachers!
Thank you for giving me the chance to talk about my teaching plan of seals.
This passage can connect the life and act, emphasize the interest and experience of the Ss, Grade six is the developing stage of English learning, so it stresses on the emotion of the Ss, creates a well catching the imformation for the Ss. This passage has eleven parts, I devide it into three parts. The content of the first period is to learn : Where the seals like to live? The second part is to learn : How do the seals catch food? The third part is to learn the knowledge about the seal pups.
Then I make the following three teaching aims of this period:
Aims on knowledge: Enable students to grasp the new words: a tiny hole/ beach/ at ease/ dive into/lying upon/seal pups/leap in .Enable students to grasp the sentences: it’s not easy for…/more…than…/teach…how…
Aims on ability: Improve students listening, speaking, writing, reading, commutative ability.
Aims on emotion: Enable students to know it is important to protect the animals.Let them like the animals.
The important point lies in how to get the importations from this passage.
The difficult point lies in how to let students can grasp this passage.
And I will use some cards, and the multi-media computer to help me achieve the aims.
The task-based method, communicated method, group compitition method, make games will be used in this period.
To accomplish the aims, I design the following steps:
Beforing having the lesson, I design a preview card. To help students preview the passage better, and let them be intereted in this lesson.
Step 1 Warming- Up
First: Talk about the animals in the sea. In order to construct an atmosphere of learning the seals.
Second: Enjoy some pictures of sea ainmals. At the same time the step can let Ss to relaxed, And can Lead to the new Lesson.
Step 2 Presentention and Prctise
First, show the picture of seals, let one group talk about the knowledge of seals, then show i
