课 题 Unit7:Nice Weather, Nice Mood (Period1) 授课时间 教学目标 知识目标 Students will be able to recognize some words and expressions such as sunny, cloudy, foggy, windy, drizzly, snowy, hailing, lightning and thunder, raining heavily and so on to describe all kinds of weather conditions. 能力目标 Students will be able to talk about all kinds of weather conditions freely by using the words and expressions above. 情感目标 Students will be able to know the influence weather has on people’s mood, learn to adapt to different weather conditions and get rid of bad mood. 教学重、难点 重点 Students will be able to remember words and expressions related to weather conditions to describe weather. 难点 How to encourage students to speak out all kinds of weather conditions by using the words and expressions. 教法与学法 1.Task-based teaching and learning 2. Activity2: Put the weather conditions above into four seasons groups. In spring: ______________ In summer: ______________ In autumn: ______________ In winter: ______________ Activity3: Vocabulary on page118 Activity4:Real Life Skills Describe the weather condition according to the pictures 2.Describe the weather in your town/city and know the 72-hour weather forecast say. If possible, students and draw simple pictures. Step3:Homework T:Have a free talk with the students at the beginning of class by asking the questions: 1.What’s the weather like today? 2. Do you like it? and why or why not? S:Students answer the questions above together. T:Show the students some pictures about all kinds of weather and ask them: Can you use some adjectives you learned before to describe all kinds of weather conditions?
