According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of obese adults worldwide has increased by 50 percent since 1995, to 300 million in 2000. One-third of these people are believed to live in the developing world. In 1996, WHO set up a global database on obesity and body mass index, the common measure of fatness. WHO calls obesity one of todays most blatantly visible — yet most neglected — public health problems, and has dubbed the global epidemic globesity. some reasons for getting fat Sleep - Too little increases appetite? Medicine - Many modern medicines lead to us putting on weight Mothers age - Older women are more likely to have obese children Choice of partner - Overweight people tend to pair with each other - and have overweight children Heating and air conditioning - Comfortable temperatures stop us from burning off fat? Genes - Body shape may be partly inherited? Giving up smoking - Nicotine suppresses the appetite? Manmade chemicals - Some chemicals interfere with hormones that keep fat levels low? Weight at birth - Underweight babies have a bigger risk of obesity? Getting older - Weight tends to increase with age Doing exercise Eating heathily Having healthy diet is good for our healthy .It can make your body strong and healthy.But how to have a healthy diet? In my opinion,first of all, we should have the diet at the right time. Chaotic mealtimes will affect our bodys normal digestion and absorption.Its bad for your health.Second,having a healthy diet means eating healty food,such as all sorts of grain, green vegetable and fruit.Different food has different nutrition which our body need.Finally,we should not eat too much or too little for every meal.Over-eat or dieting is very harmful for our stomach and health.
