Good morning, everyone, Today, it’s my pleasure to be here sharing my teaching ideas with you. My topic today is “How to Be Cool at College” ,which is taken from Unit1. “Going to College”. We will discuss this period from the following parts: teaching material, teaching method, studying method, teaching procedure and teaching reflection.First, let me talk about the teaching material. Part One —— Analysis of the Teaching MaterialFirst , Content:This unit is about how to be cool at college, which is attractive and helpful to the students. Through my teaching, I hope I can help the students have the correct views of learning.Secondly, I want to tell something about the students.They are new college students , and everything is new for them . Most of them are weak in English, Some of them don’t have the strong view of learning , they don’t know what to do next exactly in English learning. Although the students have the basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, They still need many opportunities to practice what they have learned and to develop their learning ability by themselves and cooperative learning ability.Therefore, after analyzing the teaching material and students, I’d like to put forward the teaching aims. It contents knowledge aim, ability aim and emotional aim .1 The knowledge aim :To grasp the new words, phrases and their usages;the understanding of the text.2 The ability aim:To improve the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing.3 The emotional aim :To lead students to set goals and work hard for them step by step until they graduate;have the correct views of learning.Next , let’s come to Main and Difficult Points1.
