Colledge of Ear th Sciences, Chengd u University of Technology , Chengdu 610059, China) Abstract :T aking the digitized topographic map of Baitongjianzi in Yaan region of Sichuan province as an example, this paper to star t fr om two aspects of data input and processing and combine with the authors experience, approaches some key techniques in the digital topographic map based on MAPGIS, which mainly covers graphic input , layered raster- to- vector input , graph edit , elevation edit , water system edit, coordinate matching and err or corr ection as a reference to r esearchers in the field of GIS.
