Unit 24 The face is familiar ,but--- There are three main characters in the story ,Henry ,Petey and a girl whose name is unknown to us . Henry had to dance alone because his partner have some disease unexpecly . Then at the dance ,his young friend Petey wanted to join the Navy and had to leave his date alone . Naturally ,they met and got along .But because of the nosiy music ,he didn’t catch the girl’s name when Petey introduced her . In order to get the girl’s name ,Henry had came up with and carried out many foolish ideas .He missed many chances because he always said unusefull information before he asked her name ,which made the girl misunderstood him. At last it cost him much money ,but all ideas ended in failure .He only got a pseudueym from her . He had nothing to do but keep beating his head against the wall …. Point 1: Don’t wait still the flowers wither God have given us some time left to plant some wonderful memories that will bloom every year for us... So don’t miss the blooming flowers before you regret having not observe them Henry could have many chances to ask the girl for her name ,but every time he missed it .He waited and waited ,and he was at the cost his time and money because of his delay . For us ,if we can’t do the things that we should do imediatelyas soon as possible,we might also pay for our laziness and delay. Maybe the cost is huge ,maybe it’s previous time or your wealth . That means you have waste your youth and man’s resources . Point 2 Treasure your every opportunity Opportunity is not ready for you everytime ,instead you should be ready for the opportunity and hold on to it. Why can many people succeed ,while we can’t? Just take Bill Gates for example ,he had taken chance of knowledge times,he know the importance of the internet and knowledge . Also, some students are excilent because they can take the chance to express themselves more ,and teacher tend to like activity students. Don’t be a second Henry when you
