* * This is used as an inhaled DHE treatment for migraine. Even though the name of the inhaler is TEMPO Inhaler, the drug and device will be called LEVADEX. DHE (MAP0004) in clinical development (ongoing Phase 3 trials) is a novel and proprietary formulation of DHE delivered through the lung via oral inhalation with MAP’s proprietary Tempo inhaler. DHE is suspended in hydrofluoralkane (HFA) propellants. The Tempo? inhaler is a proprietary breath-actuated inhaler, which allows for consistent delivery of the drug to the lung and eliminates the need for coordination of breathing and hand movements. In addition, the plume velocity is slowed in the Tempo design, minimizing oropharyngeal deposition and maximizing delivery of DHE to the deep lung. Phase 3 data shows rapid and sustained relief, with an onset of action comparable to IV DHE, with minimal adverse effects. * * Use of a valved chamber to achieve high inhaled dose for patient not requiring ventilation. * This is the vibrating mesh system for high efficient delivery of aerosol to mechanically ventilated patients.
