Abstract:[Objective]TheobjectiveofthestudyistoclarifythecharacteristicsofspatialdistributionofPhyl
lostachyspraecoxgallundertwomanagementpatterns.[Methods]Fiveaggregatedindicesandanaggregatedformu
lawereusedtodescribethespatialdistributionpatternsofPh.praecoxgall.Thegalldistributionundertwodifferent
managementpatternswerecompared.Throughregressionanalysis,therelationshipbetweenthethirdlevelshoots
andthenumberofgallswasdetermined.[Results]Statisticalmodelanalysisshowedthatthegallspatialdistribution
followedanuniformlyaggregatedpattern,andthebasiccomponentsofgallwascolony.Thereasonsforaggregation
weretheaggregationandcharacteristicsofbamboogallmakers.Onthebambooplant,significantdifferencewas
foundingalldensityamongthreelayersofbamboocanopy.Inroughmanagementplots,thegallswereconcentrated
inthemiddlelayerofthecanopy,theheightis3-4mand4-5msections.Inintensivelymanagedplots,the
gallswereconcentratedintheupperlayerofthecanopy,theheightis2-3msection.Intwodifferentmanagement
patterns,thereisasignificantlinearregressionrelationbetweenthenumberofgallandthenunmberofthirdlevel
shoots.[Conclusion]ThespatialdistributionofPh.praecoxgallfollowedanaggregateddistributionpattern.There
aresignificantdifferencesingalldensityamongdifferentheightsofbamboocanopy.Managementpatternswillaffect
thedistributionofgall,whileobtruncationwillaffectthenunmberofthirdlevelshoots.Thenunmberofthi
