中考复习——构词法 英语构词法点拨：英语中的构词法主要有四种：合成、派生、转化、缩写和简写。运用构词法，可帮助我们记住更多的词，同时在阅读中遇到生词也不会再害怕了，对吗？下面简单举例说明，希望同学们能举一反三。 合成：复合名词：sunlight(名词+名词)，Mid-autumn(形+名)，sitting-room(动名词+名)， chopsticks(动+名)，thanksgiving(名+动名词)，get-together(动+副)，E-mail(其它) 复合形容词：kind-hearted(形+名+ed)，good-looking(形+现在分词)，hard-working(副+现在分 词)，English-speaking(名+现在分词)，man-made(名+过去分词)，well-known(副+过去分词)， round-trip(形+名)，take-away(其它) 其它复合词：maybe, nothing, ourselves, wherever, thirty-eight等。 ★派生：在一个单词的前面或后面加上词缀构成新词。常用的词缀有：un-(表否定)，dis-(表否定)，re-(又，再)，-or/er(……的人)，-ful(形容词后缀)，-ly(副词后缀)，-ing(形容词后缀)，-ed(形容词后缀)等。 ★转化：一个单词由一种词类转换为另一种词类。如book(n. 书)→book(v. 预定) ★缩写：截头：telephone—phone 去尾：kilogram—kilo, advertisement—ad. 即截头又去尾：refrigerator—fridge 混合：breakfast and lunch—brunch 其它：cannot—can’t, I would (had)—I’d 简写: 例如 very important person—VIP, physical education—P.
