School of Mechanical Engineering, Qingdao Technological University, Qingdao, Shandong 266033) Abstract: Super-high grinding machining is a widely employed finishing process to achieve close tolerances and good dimensional accuracy as well as the surface integrity for different materials such as metals ，ceramics ，glass ， rocks ，etc. The latest development, current status and applications of super-high grinding machining technologies relating to the ultra-high speed cylindrical grinding, the high speed point-grinding and the high efficiency deep grinding are analyzed in this paper. The importance of developing the super-high grinding machining technologies is illustrated, which implicates the promising future of the super-high speed grinding machining. Key words: mechanical m
