For the bridge monitoring and inspection data that are quantitative, the data are assessed and scored by the fuzzy reasoning method, while for the extent of the data that are non2quantitative, the data will be directly assessed and scored according to the expert system. On the basis of comprehensive analysis and calculation, the scores of safety, durability and serviceability of each section of the bridge can be achieved and the weighted factor method is then usedto finalize the grades of the health conditions ofthe bridge. With all methods mentioned above, the real2timeassessment of thehealth conditions of the bridgeis realized and scientificba2 ses of decision2making for maintenance and management of the bridge are thus provided.
