Thought on the Status Quo and the Future of the Cultural Industry of Xi′an YA N X iao-L i (Xi′an University of Finance and Economics, Xi′an 710061, China) Abstract:Cultural industry is a new grow th point of national economy of 21st century. iven the ear- ly age of the development and uneven development that the cultural industry of Xi′an is in, it is sug- gested that Xi′an should establish a new cultural system, and conform to the major trend to develop its culture.Much concern should be paid to make the most of the favourable external environment, cultural resources, regional advantages and so on by means of creating a number of brands of unique culture.Xi′an should take efforts with great potential to enhance its cultural image and accelerate the grow th of clusters of culture in hopes of having the change in leaps and bounds in cultural industry, promoting Xi′an economic prosperity and enhancing the regional competitiveness of Xi′an.
