Larson, 2nd Edition, Prentice Hall, 2002. Theme Paper (not spiral notebook paper) Paper Folder Course Prerequisite: Students must have completed English 101 with a grade “C” or better. Course Description: English 210, Introduction to Fiction will include reading and discussion of three contemporary novels with several different universal themes as well as important human issues. The course will also include reading and discussion of short stories from a wide range of authors and time periods, and the stories will be presented in one varied theme unit and two other theme units— Moral Dilemma and The Relationships Between Men and Women. Students will make informal written response to the fiction in Critical Reading Journals and will write three formal critical analysis essays also. The course is designed for students wishing to fulfill one of their humanities requirements or for students wishing to take a literature course. A major goal
