Pre/Post-test Information
This document contains assessment items aligned to the targeted
benchmarks identified by 2008 District–wide MEAP data. Teachers
should use the pre-test as a diagnostic tool to identify areas of individual
student strengths and weaknesses at their school. All of the assessment
items have been coded and given a point value. Constructed response
question is worth 3 points.
Teachers should use the results of the pre-test to adjust their instruction
to the needs of individual students. Each lesson in this document has
been aligned to the targeted benchmarks and contains opportunities for
enrichment and reinforcement.
Teachers should use the posttest to identify student gains over the
course of the Summer Learning Academy Program. Post-test results
should be made available to parents and administrators as well as
students.
