This customizable template model allows for different report and analysis to be created for different users. The Operations Manager needs immediate visibility into the process performance to understand the operational aspects of how work is performed, are deadlines are risk, do tasks need to be re-prioritized. The Business Manager needs to understand the process performance in the context of the business – how is the process impacting business performance, what business centric trends are emerging (e.g. a new buying pattern for a new promotion), what changes (if any) are required. The Business Analyst need to understand how effective and efficient the business processes are and how they can be optimized. All of these 3 different users need reports (to understand what is happening) and analysis (to understand why it is happening) so that they can take the correct and timely optimizations. However, the reports and analysis that they need to perform their responsibilities and the resulting actions will be different. The “one size fits all” approach of traditional BPM dashboards will not provide all these users with all the reports and analysis that they need to work to the best of their ability. The customizable and extensible template approach of iProcess Spotfire does allow reports and analysis to be created that are specific to each user.
