It has become an important part of the information industry throughout the world including China. The development of this technology led to a technological revolution of the radio and television industry. The television is entering the digital age from the black and white TV and color TV era. Clearly, the digital television transmitter control system is an important part of the broadcasting technology, yet the communication system is the foundation of the whole control system. It is so important that it becomes the focus of the research. Digital TV transmitter communication system is designed in this paper. Communication system is a vital part of the transmitter. It contacts the distributed module, providing reliable and real-time communication and thus forming a control network. With the increasing demand for industrial applications, the reliability and real-time among modules become the focus of designers. In this paper, the domestic and international digital TV transmitter controller communication system were analyzed, using the RS485 bus and MODBUS protocol to achieve this communication system combined with the technical requirements of the transmitter control system. The control system adopts the distributed structure. The whole system consists of main control unit, power control unit, power amplifier control unit, amplifier detection unit and the host computer and other components. The MODBUS protocol, RTU mode principle and common functional codes are described in the paper, and the communication illustrated by the function of reading input registers between master and slave is realized.
