The re ult of te t have indicated that the occurrence of hear adhe ive failure could be avoided if reinforced certain tirrup in ection teel concrete beam . Among eventeen te ting beam , 7 were lanting pre ure failure, and the other 10 were hear pre ure failure. Thi te t, a well a the te t of Ref. [ 1] , ha howed that the ratio of hear to pan had deci ive influence on the failure mode of te ting beam . When the ratio of hear to pan ati fied 1. 5, lanting pre ure failure happened; when 1. 5 3. 0, hear pre ure failure happened; and when 3. 0, flexural failure happened. At the ame time, the exi tence of ection teel made the brittle performance of hear failure improve remarkably.
