The Application of Domestication in Translation of Broken Girls Abstract In the Internet age, the American television drama gradually become a new way of English learning and cultural transmission, which triggers the rising of net subtitle groups. The quality of subtitle not only affects the watching satisfaction ,but also depends the effects of cultural transmission. The hit American sti-com Broken Girls, whose subtitle uses a lot of domestication , brings satisfying watching experience , expresses authentic American humor and leads Chinese audience to feel American culture. This paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter states the research’s significant and purposes. The second chapter introduces the domestication theory, factions affect domestication choice and the current situation of subtitle translation based on domestication. The third chapter uses case study to reveal domestication’s advantages in sit-com subtitle’s translation. The fourth chapter probes the necessity of domestication in sit-com subtitle translation. Therefore, it comes to the conclusion : In face of sit-com’s subtitle translation difficulties, domestication strategy can effectively remove the language and cultural barriers, even for the audience who knew little about European and American culture , they can also obtain synchronous “laugh out loud” experience with local audience to reach more effective Key Words Sit-com ; broken girls ; subtitle translation ; domestication strategy 归化策略在《破产姐妹》字幕翻译中的运用 摘 要 在网络时代，英美影视剧渐渐成为英语学习和文化传播的新途径，也因此涌现了许多网络翻译字幕组。字幕的翻译不仅影响着观赏效果，还直接影响观众对作品内容和其中传达的文化的理解。今年在中国大热的情景喜剧《破产姐妹》的字幕翻译运用了大量的归化翻译策略，给观众带来了理想的观赏效果。成功地为中国观众带来地道的美式幽默，进一步了解美国文化。 本文共分为四个章节。第一章，说明了本论文的研究背景和意义。第二章，扼要介绍归化翻译策略，译者选择归化策略的影响因素，以及归化下字幕翻译的现状。第三章，结合实例，讨论了归化策略在情景喜剧字幕翻译中的运用。第四章，探讨了归化在喜剧字幕翻译中的必要性。最后得出的结论如下：面对喜剧字幕翻译的难点，归化策略能有效地清除语言和文化障碍，让即使对欧美文化不甚了解的观众也能获得与作品同步的“笑”果体验，达到更有效的跨文化交际。 关键词： 情景喜剧； 破产姐妹 ；字幕翻译 ；归化策略 Introduction Research Backgroud Si
