Electric Power Research Institute, CSG, Guangzhou 510000, Guangdong Province, China) ABSTRACT: It is necessary to ensure the power supply for key load as far as possible after the occurrence of fault in power network. As for the distribution network containing distributed generation (DG), the power supply for key load can be sustained by island operation of microgrid and DG to reduce the power outage region in the distribution network. To make the island steadily operated, a new strategy for island partitioning, in which the operation characteristics of DG is considered, is proposed. In the proposed strategy, as many as 0 possible key load, to which the power supply should be ensured, are taken as the objective of island partitioning, and combining classical depth-first search algorithm with binary particle ( swarm algorithm possessing combination and mutation the ) island partitioning is performed.
