As for the distribution network containing distributed generation (DG), the power supply for key load can be sustained by island operation of microgrid and DG to reduce the power outage region in the distribution network. To make the island steadily operated, a new strategy for island partitioning, in which the operation characteristics of DG is considered, is proposed.
